Context
E.ON Next serves UK households. EV owners were paying flat rates for electricity they could just as easily draw overnight, when the grid is cheaper and cleaner. A smart tariff only works if the billing platform, the charge point and the customer's account all agree on when the power was drawn.
Problem
The launch depended on a third-party integration and on a regulated billing path. Neither could be discovered late, and both sat with teams that did not report to the project.
Role
I supported delivery of the launch and led the workstreams the project lead delegated to me, through to go-live readiness. I worked with Kraken Technologies on API and data integration and system readiness, and coordinated across Energy Specialists, Legal, Engineering and Product.
Process
Managed timelines, interdependencies and risks in Asana and Jira. Ran stakeholder consultations and requirements elicitation, then owned go-live readiness and the milestone updates that went to the project board.
Outcome
The tariff launched. The work contributed to a 5% improvement in energy efficiency programmes and a 15% reduction in project delays.
